1.Who we are
InfluencersBridge is an online marketplace that connects businesses with verified social media creators in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya and South Africa. In this policy, “InfluencersBridge”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean the company that operates the InfluencersBridge website and app. “You” means anyone who visits the site or creates an account, whether as a business or as a creator.
We are responsible for the personal information we collect through InfluencersBridge. If you have any questions about this policy, you can contact us using the details at the end of this page.
2.Information we collect
We only collect what we need to run the marketplace. This includes:
- Account details: your name, email address, password (stored in encrypted form) and whether you signed up as a business or a creator.
- Profile information: for creators, your bio, niche, location, languages, rate card and portfolio; for businesses, your business name, industry, location and logo.
- Linked social account data: profile information and performance insights from accounts you choose to link (see Section 4).
- Bookings and messages: campaign briefs, applications, bookings, in-app chat messages, files and content you upload, reviews and dispute evidence.
- Payment information: transaction records, payout details (such as your bank or mobile money account) and wallet balance. Card details are entered on our payment partners’ secure pages and are not stored by us.
- Support requests: messages and attachments you send to our support team.
- Usage and device data: pages you visit, actions you take, IP address, browser and device type, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
3.How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and keep you signed in.
- To show creator profiles and stats to businesses, and business campaigns to creators.
- To process bookings, hold payments in escrow, release payouts and issue refunds.
- To verify creator accounts and detect fake followers, fraud and abuse.
- To review and resolve disputes between businesses and creators.
- To send service messages, such as booking updates, payment receipts and security alerts.
- To send marketing emails, only if you opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To answer support requests, improve the platform and meet our legal obligations.
5.How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We only share it in these situations:
- With other users: your public profile is visible to other users. When you book or are booked, the other side sees what they need to complete the job, such as your name and the messages and content shared in that booking.
- With payment partners: we use Paystack and Flutterwave to process payments and payouts. They handle your payment details under their own privacy policies.
- With service providers: companies that help us run InfluencersBridge, such as hosting, email and analytics providers, under contracts that require them to protect your data.
- For legal reasons: when the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety and property of our users and InfluencersBridge.
- If our business changes: if InfluencersBridge is merged or sold, your information may be transferred to the new owner, who must respect this policy.
6.Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and keep the platform secure. With your consent, we also use analytics cookies to understand how people use InfluencersBridge so we can improve it. You can change your cookie choices at any time in your browser settings.
7.How long we keep your information
We keep your information for as long as your account is open. If you close your account, we delete or anonymise your personal information, except where we must keep certain records, such as transaction and tax records or information related to an open dispute, for the period required by law.
8.Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to:
- Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct information that is wrong or incomplete.
- Ask us to delete your information.
- Object to or restrict how we use your information, including for marketing.
- Withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent.
- Complain to your local data protection authority.
You can update most of your information in your account settings. For Meta data specifically, see our Meta data deletion instructions. For anything else, contact us and we’ll respond within the time required by law.
9.How we protect your information
We use encryption to protect sensitive data in storage and in transit, secure token-based sign-in, and optional two-factor authentication. Access to personal information inside InfluencersBridge is limited to people who need it to do their job. No system is completely secure, so please keep your password private and turn on two-factor login.
10.Data protection laws
We process personal information in line with the data protection laws of the countries we operate in, including the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, Ghana’s Data Protection Act 2012, Kenya’s Data Protection Act 2019 and South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Some of our service providers may store data outside your country. When this happens, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place.
11.Children
InfluencersBridge is only for people aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we will remove it.
12.Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make important changes, we’ll let you know by email or with a notice in the app before they take effect. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
13.Contact us
If you have a question about this policy or want to exercise your rights, email privacy@influencersbridge.com or send us a message through our contact page.
4.Linked social accounts (including Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and TikTok)
Creators can choose to link social accounts so the stats on their profile come directly from the platform instead of being typed in. Linking is optional, and you can unlink at any time.
Instagram and Facebook (Meta)
When you connect through Facebook Login, you choose which Facebook Pages and Instagram professional accounts to share. For the accounts you select, we receive:
How we use it
We use this data only to show verified stats on your InfluencersBridge profile, to calculate figures such as engagement rate and growth, and to help businesses decide which creators to work with. We never post, comment or send messages on your behalf, we don't use this data for advertising, and we don't sell it.
Who can see it
Your verified stats, recent content stats and aggregated audience percentages are shown on your creator profile to businesses and visitors to InfluencersBridge.
Access tokens
Meta gives us an access token so we can refresh your stats. We store it encrypted, use it only to read the data listed above, and never share it.
How long we keep it
While your account is connected we refresh your stats about once a day. If you disconnect in My profile > Social accounts, or remove InfluencersBridge from your Facebook settings (Settings & privacy > Business integrations), we revoke our access, delete your tokens, and delete the stats and content data we received from Meta. See our Meta data deletion instructions at https://influencersbridge.com/data-deletion.
YouTube (Google)
When you connect YouTube, we use YouTube API Services to read your channel information (name, handle, picture, subscriber, view and video counts), your channel analytics (views, watch time, average view duration, likes, comments, shares and subscriber changes over time), your recent videos and their stats, and aggregated audience data (age range, gender, top countries and cities as percentages). We use this only to show verified stats on your InfluencerBridge profile. We never upload, edit or delete anything on your channel.
By connecting YouTube you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. You can disconnect at any time from My profile > Social accounts, or revoke our access in your Google Account settings. When you disconnect or revoke access, we delete your YouTube tokens and the data we received from YouTube. We refresh this data about once a day.
InfluencerBridge's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
TikTok
When you connect TikTok, we receive your basic profile (display name, username, avatar, bio, verified status), your account stats (followers, following, total likes, video count) and your public videos with their view, like, comment and share counts. We use this only to show verified stats on your InfluencerBridge profile. We never post or change anything on your TikTok account. Disconnect any time from My profile > Social accounts, or remove InfluencersBridge in TikTok (Settings and privacy > Security > Manage app permissions); we then delete your TikTok tokens and the data we received. We refresh this data about once a day. TikTok doesn't share audience demographics.
